Residents in the Waterloo region are able to receive curbside recycling collection along with waste collection on a weekly basis. Recycling information and regulations are laid out in the Region of Waterloo's Blue-Box program.
Businesses and other commercial clients are eligible to receive curbside blue-box recycling collection if they are located on an existing curbside collection route. A maximum of three blue-boxes and three bundles of cardboard is allowed per business, per pickup. Any additional recycling and waste services must be done by a waste removal services and recycling contractor, such as Panda Environmental. Organic Waste Information
Organic waste is handled by the Region of Waterloo's Green-Bin program. Nearly 50% of all waste is organic waste, and can be recycled using an organic waste plan that diverts organic waste from landfills and processes it in an environmentally friendly manner.
